Why rancher service disconnected sometimes?

I used Rancher to deploy a Rails application.

I created two services. One used for install node packages and db migration. The other one used for Rails application.

  • Dockerfile issues with build
  • How to test a docker volume?
  • Running several apps via docker-compose
  • Is there a way to discover other containers on a docker network using DNS?
  • Docker LVM thinpool meta data sizing
  • Use RubyMine and Docker for development
  • The second service works well. But the first one sometimes disconnected. So it is necessary to install the node packages again. It’s crazy!

    The services are:

    • a. myapp_setup service: sometimes disconnected
    • b. myapp service: works well
    • c. postgres service: works well

    a depends on c. b depends on a and c.

  • Including data in MySQL Docker container
  • Referencing the first argument passed to the docker entrypoint?
  • Restrict jenkins only on localhost with docker and nginx
  • Docker separate containers for node, mongo, how to populate mongo from node container
  • Pushing docker image to docker hub private repository return authentication error [closed]
  • Not able to use .env file with docker-compose
  • One Solution collect form web for “Why rancher service disconnected sometimes?”

disconnected is not one of the possible states for a Service so I’m not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the Host(s) the Service is running on? Hosts have a disconnected state, which means the agent container on it does not have an active connection to the rancher/server container.

Docker will be the best open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.
