I am attempting to use etcd‘s remote api to configure a coreOS box remotely with static values like ip address, dns resolve address, gateway, ect. I theory I should be able to file something like: curl -X PUT “http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:4001/v2/keys/etcd/registry/???_/_state?prevExist=false” -d value=10.10.10.1 But i can’t find a reference to the exact syntax to use.
I am using postgres:9.5.3 docker image. I am starting the containers and then trying to connect to the psql database from a remote host but each time it fails with the error: psql: could not connect to server: Connection refused Is the server running on host “172.18.0.2” and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432? In […]
Followed the instructions of installing docker (0.0.9) under ubuntu server 12.04 but every time I run any docker subcommands I got: read unix /var/run/docker.sock: connection reset by peer it happens with docker ps, docker info, etc, running: service docker status reports that docker daemon is running, I have defaults everywhere on a clean 12.04 server […]
I’ve just installed Docker on Windows 10 few days ago. Seems I am able to login to my Docker Hub repo (by entering winpty docker login in my git-bash on windows). It says “Login succeded”. But after I try to push (docker push myrepo/myproject:sometag) it says finally “authentication required”. I’ve googled and researched yesterday whole […]
A lot of the docker examples I have seen involve images of an os, albeit proably a stripped down version. If you have an existing RHEL system with lxc you can just execute a containerized bash. Can docker do something similar or do you always need base images that are unrelated to the host OS.
We are currently using SVN for our application development among 6 to 8 developers. Recently we have requirement for developing a new application using Docker. I have gone through the docker setup documentation and difference between containers and images and how it works.I am bit confused how to use this for a application where team […]
I am building a docker container with a nodejs application, which will be build from meteorJS. For the build a shell runner is used (`meteor build /opt/project/build/core –directory) as this is all done in a gitlab CI. build: stage: build tags: – deploy before_script: – docker login -u gitlab-ci-token -p $CI_JOB_TOKEN $CI_REGISTRY – meteor npm […]
I have a process inside my docker container that is attached to multiple overlay networks and it must only bind to a specific overlay network interface (it knows its name through passed env vars) so that the rest of the containers in that overlay network would be able to talk to it. How can a […]
