Routing based on path in Dokku

I’m trying to develop some kind of a service-based architecture using Dokku. But by default Dokku routes based on a subdomain. What I need to do is like this :
api.example.com/service1/
api.example.com/service2/

Where service1 is it’s own container and service2 is in another container.

  • Error start mysql docker
  • Docker : RUN cd … does not work as expected [duplicate]
  • How do I know mapped port of host from docker container?
  • Docker use local db for volume
  • Running nano in docker container
  • Can not reach HTTP servlet when built as Dockercontainer
  • Any suggestions ?

BTW, I’ve tried this plugin https://github.com/fkowal/dokku-path-proxy. It didn’t work

  • How to make the external host IP address assigned to container hostname?
  • Allowing 'anyone' executable permission on /usr/local/bin/docker-compose?
  • How to make changes to httpd.conf of apache running inside DOCKER container and restart apache
  • Re-running Docker only until a certain step using caches?
  • why is the status Exited (-1) when docker stop some container
  • Vagrant and Docker with Microservices
  • One Solution collect form web for “Routing based on path in Dokku”

What I ended up doing is that I’ve forked this plugin https://github.com/fkowal/dokku-path-proxy to support the latest version of Dokku and it’s now working fine.
The fork can be found here https://github.com/hussam-almarzoq/dokku-path-proxy

Docker will be the best open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.
