does docker rmi remove images from storage backend

I am using Azure Storage backend for my private docker repository. I want to free up local disk space and this is command I wish to execute.

docker rmi -f $(docker images -q)

  • Nginx not redirect to https docker ports
  • artifactory pro registry docker image
  • elastic beanstalk application can't find private docker image
  • haproxy in docker container
  • Get hostname in Logstash running in a Docker container
  • Expose container on random port on internal IP
  • I want to know, will this command delete the images on local system or will it also delete the images stored on the storage backend?

  • Build many dockerfiles on jenkins project
  • ssh from docker gets stuck without any error
  • Creating a new PostgreSQL user in Dockerfile
  • Connect to Docker API from Windows to external server
  • update custom configuration file in Docker
  • Golang: go build failing when called as part of makefile
  • Docker will be the best open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.
