docker insecure registry daemon not using flag

I have an insecure registry running at

a docker login fails with no valid certificate found and suggests to specify the --insecure-registry flag for the daemon.

  • creating a default database in mysql using dockerfile
  • Docker Toolbox Mac command line and Kitematics fails
  • What is the purpose of the Docker build context?
  • How would a provide a self-updating web application, delivered via docker image?
  • Docker images built successfully but not running
  • docker build purely from command line
  • However, I already specified the flag (on Ubuntu) in /etc/default/docker

    DOCKER_OPTS="--dns --dns --insecure-registry"

    are set and the daemon was restarted. Still the problem remains.

  • What will happen after the maximum number of images pushed to ECR repository
  • mounting data volumes to another container
  • Assign domain name to the container
  • Installing Python 3 Docker Ubuntu error command 'x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc
  • docker run from systemd service starts but exits immediately, and restarts, but docker run from shell works fine
  • Can not curl docker swarm from remote host
  • Docker will be the best open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.
