Docker daemon fails

I am using Ubuntu 14.04 on Dell Latitude E6430 and have installed package. Now whenever I restart my system, first docker command fails with message

Cannot connect to the Docker daemon. Is 'docker -d' running on this host?

Hence to fix this i run below command and daemon works like charm

  • Why isn't my postgres docker container mounting the database?
  • docker: show open ports from linked container
  • Jhipster CI (Jenkins 2 + Sonarqube) -> Memory Heap
  • I lose my data when the container exits
  • Access volume in docker build
  • Port unreachable after deploying NGINX image to IBM Bluemix Container Cloud
  • ps -ef |grep docker
    kill -9 *pid found* | rm /var/run/

I have check previous questions and none answer this behaviour
Any idea why is breaking ?

  • How to execute a command on a running docker container?
  • Can't set custom configuration file for mysql docker container
  • Docker link container as build argument
  • Creating a table in single user mode in postgres
  • Docker run Error: Status 403 trying to pull repository Unable to access the repository:
  • Dockerfile RUN vs run image and use /bin/bash provides different result
  • Docker will be the best open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.
