Docker daemon fails

I am using Ubuntu 14.04 on Dell Latitude E6430 and have installed docker.io package. Now whenever I restart my system, first docker command fails with message

Cannot connect to the Docker daemon. Is 'docker -d' running on this host?

Hence to fix this i run below command and daemon works like charm

  • Setting up failover for dockerized Zabbix instances (not Docker Swarm)
  • docker add extract to custom directory
  • Kubernetes v1.2.2 api-server dosen't start
  • Gtk cannot display window while using docker
  • Docker pull ubuntu no reply
  • Debug django app running inside docker image, using pycharm debugger
  • ps -ef |grep docker
    kill -9 *pid found* | rm /var/run/docker.pid

I have check previous questions and none answer this behaviour
Any idea why is breaking ?

  • Friendly URL between docker containers/images
  • Dockerfile RUN command taking a lot of disk space
  • Containerization of OpenStack services with Kubernetes?
  • connecting to services on docker host from docker container
  • Connect to docker-machine using docker-py (OSX)
  • Consul not deregistering zombie services
  • Docker will be the best open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.
