deploying elasticsearch with docker

I’m new to deploying with docker and elasticsearch.

I followed the curriculum here http://prakhar.me/docker-curriculum/#docker-aws, but I do not understand how the data is maintained if we downloaded and pushed a base ES image.

  • Use Xcode with Docker (cross-compiling)
  • Using LOAD CSV to import a local file to Neo4j in a Docker container
  • “blkio.throttle.io_serviced” pseudo-files return zero values for one container
  • How to install Docker on offline Windows 7 machine
  • Running a single Docker Cloud's HAProxy container with SSL and non-SSL simultaneously
  • Getting Error while Dockerizing webspare liberty in ubuntu 14.04 image
  • When I deploy my ES service, I’d like to keep the documents that are currently on it so I don’t have to bulk create again.

How do you transfer data along with the elasticsearch service with docker?
I have pulled the base ES image but am unsure how I can configure my docker file.

  • Is it possible to reboot a OS (linux) that is running within a Docker container? (to restart the GPU)
  • How to get my hdfs docker client running?
  • Docker RabbitMQ persistency
  • Docker: Can a secret created and deleted in a single RUN command be recovered from the resulting image?
  • Kubernetes Service External IP not being assigned
  • Is this possible to tag latest to multiple images in docker?
  • Docker will be the best open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.
