Creating a cassandra docker image with initialized KEYSPACE and schema

I am trying to create a Cassandra docker image using docker-compos

I am finding it hard creating containers with configured KEYSPACE and schema without having to run a separate docker exec command on the running container.

  • Deploying multiple Deis clusters
  • docker-compose up container start ordering
  • Python Unable to Connect to Cassandra through Docker
  • SELECT Error Cassandra 'Row' object has no attribute 'values'
  • docker-compose volumes don't contain latest static code from image
  • Installing phantomjs with node in docker
  • Does anyone have an example off how to do this using docker file or docker-compose?

  • Does Docker install and run dependencies only when I'm using it?
  • docker-compose wordpress mysql connection refused
  • Options -Indexes not working in .htaccess file in Docker continer
  • Error the docker engine version is less than the minimum
  • Usage of loopback devices is strongly discouraged for production use
  • Serving static files directly via a containerized front-end web server?
  • Docker will be the best open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.
