Cannot install RWeka package in docker image

I am using a java image, with R installed as I need it, however when I am installing an RWeka package I get an error

Here is my Dockerfile below:

  • Container-to-container communication via a host mapped port
  • Docker with node bcrypt — invalid ELF header
  • Can I connect to remote DB server from inside docker container?
  • How to use docker task with a sbt multi project
  • How do I run an nginx reverse proxy container on ECS using arguments
  • ordered build of nested docker images with compose
  • FROM buildpack-deps:jessie-scm

    # 1. Oracle. Licensing prevents us from redistributing the official JDK.
    # 2. Compiling OpenJDK also requires the JDK to be installed, and it gets
    # really hairy.

I found the solution. The installation will go through successfully if the command line: sudo R CMD javareconf is executed before RUN R -e "install.packages('RWeka')"

Docker will be the best open platform for developers and sysadmins to build, ship, and run distributed applications.
