Boot2Docker Image (Ubuntu) Download Very Slow on Windows 8.1

I’ve just installed boot2docker on Windows 8.1

Trying to run :

  • docker-compose cannot find package (golang)
  • Run process as Daemon on AWS Infrastructure
  • What field does the Docker tag relate to in RFC 5424
  • Where are containers located in the host's file system?
  • Installing opencv in docker container
  • Docker error on Windows 7 “Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers”
  • docker run ubuntu /bin/echo 'hello world'

Download ubuntu image takes a very long time. I have 9 mbps download speed but after waiting for 10 mins, still it downloaded only following :

    4.324 MB/ 65.77 MB
    1.621 MB/ 65.77 MB
    1.080 MB/ 65.77 MB
    540.2 kb/ 65.77 MB
    pulling fs layer

Tried many times, sometimes it exits with giving error

Untar finished with status 1. Unexpected EOF

I don’t know what to do. Not many questions seems to have the same error on windows. Any help would be appreciated. 🙂
